Psalm 5:11 

 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. 

Zachariah 9:15

 The Lord of hosts will defend them.

Why Advocate ?

Proverbs 31:8-9

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves , for the rights of all. Speak out for Justice, Stand up for the poor and destitute. 

Psalm 82:3 

 Defend the poor and fatherless; 

Do justice to the afflicted and needy 

Matthew 25:36

 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 

 Isaiah 1:17 

Learn to do good; 

Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. 

 As Christians we understand the call to be concerned for others, to serve them in line with the model of Jesus.
