Official Press Release Statements.

Christians in Syria needs your prayers

Pray for Syria

Over 1500 Killed since March 6th 2025

When the Assad regime fell, many feared that sectarian retribution and mass ethnic cleansing would ensue. Until last week, such abuses were limited to small spurts of random vigilantism rather than large-scale, organized violence. On March 6, however, former regime insurgents ambushed the transitional government’s security forces in the western coastal town of Jableh, killing 30 of them (with many later found burned to death or in shallow mass graves).

In response, government forces and affiliated elements killed 396 civilians and disarmed militants, according to figures released by the Syrian Network for Human Rights earlier today. SNHR also reported that Assad remnants killed 383 people during this round of fighting—172 soldiers and 211 civilians.

In all, 779 were killed, with the total death more than doubling since March 8. SNHR believes it will rise further as new evidence is uncovered in the coming days.

Most of the civilians killed by government forces were Alawites, though a few Christians have been confirmed dead as well. Those killed by former regime insurgents included Sunnis, Alawites, and Christians.

Since 10-Feb-2025, several videos surfaced on the threat and many went viral around the world and many civil society actors eventually got involved and when Adesh Soni the chief architect of this evil plan was confronted, Soni retracted some of his statements made at the “Hindutva religious parliament”.

On 26-Feb-2025 , when Adesh Soni was comprehended, he goes on to say, “out of my love for my religion and for mother cow, I may have said something out of excitement” and that he would never kill Christians. However, he never retracted his statement regarding the march that is planned to the 3 villages; the mob still plans on the march to the 3 villages on 01-Mar-2025.

Various civil society actors including ICRM, has reached out to PM Modi, CM of Chhattisgarh, to the high court of India, Home Minister of Chhattisgarh and Police department. PM Modi, CM of Chhattisgarh, Home Minister of Chhattisgarh did not unfortunately react to this.

On 26-Feb-2025 Chhattisgarh police department took up this matter and started an investigation and assured the people of the 3 villages, that police will be stationed at each of the villages and flag march will take place and that the police will work on building people’s confidence in those villages. Police are also taking measures to speak with 10-15 people from each village.

For March 1st the goal of the police department is to stop the Hindu extremists at Raipur (Capital of Chhattisgarh). Police have special precautions and steps to build peace and communal harmony in the state.

On 28-Feb-2025 having seen police presence and preparation, Adesh Soni released another video where he urges his followers not to gather in Raipur as formerly planned and the plan of gathering and attack is now suspended or even considered cancelled. Soni goes on to say to his followers if they have further support from CM they may resume their plan, insists no one gather on 01-Mar-2025. Video of Adesh Soni’s call on canceled plans:
